Why? 'Cause, it's RAPTURE DAY! Yep, according to some, it's *THE DAY* that the Truly Blessed will ascend into Heaven, and leave the Sinners (and, non Christians, of course) on Earth to deal with all sorts of Death and Destruction and other types of non-Godly stuff here & there. Even though it's supposed to have happened before. Many MANY times before.
Besides, doesn't Matthew 24:36 state “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only."? If that's the case, how does a lowly Earth-bound human know it? Just wondering.....
